PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are reportedly confident they can get a deal over the line for Barcelona superstar Neymar.

Speculation has gathered pace in the past few days that Neymar could swap the Nou Camp for the Parc des Princes.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger even admitted over the weekend that the French giants had switched their attentions from Alexis Sanchez to focus on pushing through a deal for Neymar.

Gerard Pique took to Twitter to confirm Neymar won’t be leaving, as he tweeted: “He stays.”

But according to Spanish paper AS, a move to PSG remains on the cards.

The report says the ‘contract has been written’ and PSG are hopeful he will sign it in the ‘next few hours’.

Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to PSG
However, AS claim that while Neymar had originally ‘accepted the offer’, he has since decided to take time to ‘reconsider it’.

Express Sport understands PSG are keen to trigger his £196million release clause.

Other reports have emerged suggesting Barca are desperate for Neymar to put an end to the speculation and declare he is prepared to commit his future to the Catalan giants.

Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to persuade Neymar to stay in La Liga
Talk of a move to PSG has even seen Cristiano Ronaldo try to persuade the 25-year-old to stay in Spain.

A series of WhatsApp messages have supposedly been sent by Ronaldo trying to make Neymar see that he is better of plying his trade in La Liga.
