The opposition  National Democratic Congress (NDC) has confirmed its rescheduled unity walk  slated for Tarkwa will come off on Saturday November 25.

The walk which was initially fixed on November 11, was called off a few days to the advertised time , and rescheduled to November 25th.

The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the party had revealed the postponement was to allow members to attend to their personal issues such as funerals and other social events, as the party needed broader participation of members.

But Lead organiser and former Chief Executive Officer for Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu says the walk has been rescheduled to take place this Saturday, at Tarwa, the capital of Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly under the theme: “Mobilisation of the grassroot, a shared responsibility.”

He said the walk in Tarkwa will commence from 6am from the Tamso-Nsuta Junction Station through Tarkwa/Aboso, Market-Circle, Railway Quarters, Cyanide and finally end at the Tarkwa Community Centre where party leaders will interact with supporters.

The campaign forms part of the NDC’s strategies toward reorganizing its support base and re-energise party faithful as it plans to recapture power in the next general elections to be held in 2020.

It is the first time the campaign is being organised outside a regional capital as the previous ones were held in Tamale, Accra and Cape Coast in the Northern, Greater Accra and Central Regions respectively.
