Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba in a sad moment has stated that Kojo Asare Baffour Acheampong better known as KABA was a national treasure.

According to her, anything a person greatly values or highly prizes in life is his/her treasure, and that thing is KABA.

Speaking in solidarity with the Multi-Media Group on the unexpected demise of KABA, the Gender Minister said the late broadcaster was an affable personality who performed his duties very diligently.

"I met him when I was a Women's Organizer and used to come to his Badwam show. He had such a rich love. He had affection for both men and women and was full of wisdom". She shared her fondest memories.

Miss Afisa Djaba described KABA as an icon and treasure to Ghana whose death has come at such a young age, when all dreams and aspirations have not been accomplished. She said KABA was a role model and filling his shoes would not be easy.

"I'm so sad that death has stolen this national treasure...KABA was a national treasure to Ghana. At such a young time in his life, death has rubbed us of this jewel". She said.

KABA died in the early hours of Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Until his sudden death, was the host of popular late afternoon political talk show, Ekosii Sen on Asempa 94.7 FM.

He was married to Valentina Ofori Afriyie who is also a broadcaster with Accra-based Class FM, having worked many years with Radio Gold and Spirit Fm in Kumasi.

He was survived by his wife and daughter.
